Kick Starting the Blog
This is the story of a 1965 Triumph 500SC competition model that has retired to a life of gentlemanly leisure. I acquired this little gem in the summer of 1968 when I was but a lad of 19. It cost me $350, and came with a fiberglass gas tank and the most rudimentary lights possibly imaginable. I suspect the lights were just there for the resale aspect. It had high pipes that had been truncated, a huge rear sprocket and a knobbie tire on the back with a trials tire on the front.
